Banking Circle, a Luxembourg-licensed bank, has finalized its acquisition of Australian Settlements Limited (ASL), an authorized deposit-taking institution in Australia.

The deal is aimed at strengthening Banking Circle’s global footprint by integrating ASL’s payment infrastructure, enabling the combined entity to deliver enhanced financial services to institutions both in Australia and worldwide.

This development follows earlier reports from Foresight News that the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulatory framework has granted approval to ten stablecoin issuers, including Banking Circle, positioning the bank to expand its role in digital asset services under the new regulations.
