UNDERSTANDING FIBONACCI

as a beginner.

Fibonacci Levels are numbers traders use to guess where a market might pause, bounce, or reverse.

They come from a special sequence of numbers called the Fibonacci sequence:
1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, … (each number is the sum of the previous two).

From these numbers, traders get ratios like:

23.6%

38.2%

50% (not actually Fibonacci, but widely used)

61.8% (the “golden ratio”)

78.6%

In trading terms:

Imagine a market moves up from $100 to $200.

Traders expect it might pull back before going up again.

They draw Fibonacci retracement levels between 100 and 200.

The key levels will be:

23.6% = ~$176

38.2% = ~$162

50% = $150

61.8% = ~$138

These levels act like “invisible support and resistance lines” that many traders watch.
If the price touches one and bounces, they see it as confirmation.
