Why Didn’t My Limit Target Trigger? I usually do scalping and long holding, depending on market conditions. Recently, I took a small trade on BOB coin. The setup looked good, so I placed a limit sell target. The price pumped not once, but twice Both times, it went above my target, yet my order never got triggered. I couldn’t understand, what went wrong? 🤔 Here Are 3 Possible Reasons 1. The Wick Trap: On the chart, the price touched my target but it was just a wick, a momentary spike. A limit order only gets filled if a real buyer matches your exact price, not just a brief touch. 2. Long Queue in the Order Book: There might have been many other orders placed at the same level before mine, and the price didn’t stay there long enough. So, my turn never came. 3. Low Volume Liquidity Issue: During a quick pump, if there aren’t enough buyers, the price might hit your level but drop back without filling your order. These are the reasons I figured out based on my experience. But if you understand market execution more deeply, feel free to share your knowledge.
