Worldcoin (WLD) has gained roughly 10% over the past 24 hours, but the rally is starting to lose momentum as price approaches the $0.65 level — a key resistance zone that has repeatedly capped upside moves in recent months. This area has once again become a critical battleground, with traders closely watching whether WLD can break through or face another rejection.
From a short-term perspective, the trend still looks constructive. Several technical indicators continue to support the recent rebound. However, early warning signs suggest that bullish momentum may be fragile. One notable signal comes from market momentum divergence. Between early November and mid-January, WLD formed lower price highs while the Relative Strength Index (RSI) printed higher highs. This hidden bearish divergence often indicates weakening buying strength, even as price attempts to move higher. A similar setup previously led to a sharp pullback after WLD tested $0.65.
Despite these cautionary signals, retail investor demand remains resilient. On-chain and exchange flow data show continued capital inflows, particularly during minor pullbacks. At the same time, the amount of WLD being transferred to exchanges has declined, suggesting that most retail holders are not rushing to sell. This steady buying interest has helped absorb selling pressure and keep prices relatively stable near resistance.
The main headwind comes from large holders. Since late December, whale balances have declined modestly, indicating that major investors are reducing exposure into strength. This creates a tug-of-war: retail traders buy dips, while whales sell rallies. As a result, WLD remains range-bound and struggles to establish a clear breakout.
Structurally, WLD is still trading within a descending channel, which keeps downside risks in play unless price can decisively reclaim $0.65. A confirmed breakout could open the door to further upside. Failure, however, may push price back toward support zones around $0.59, $0.55, or even $0.46.
