I read the Piggycell whitepaper and found the ideas really interesting. From what I understood, the key points are,
● Everyday small energy actions (charging your phone, using a powerbank, charging mobile devices) are currently not tracked and don’t generate any earnings.
● Piggycell brings this onto the blockchain and tokenizes it. In the future, users will be able to:
○ Provide energy (e.g., offer a powerbank or charging station)
○ Play an active role in the network
● In return for their participation, they will earn tokens, meaning everyday energy usage becomes valuable.
● All transactions are recorded on the blockchain and transparent, and tokens can be used as rewards, incentives, or income.
● The network is decentralized and community-based, allowing users to contribute directly.
In short, Piggycel is not just an energy project; it aims to manage energy infrastructure in a transparent, community-driven, and decentralized way.
From what I understand, this idea makes everyday energy usage valuable and also applies the #DeFi concept to energy.
