Pyth is a decentralized oracle network whose goal is to provide high-accuracy, high-speed, real-time price / market data (crypto, equities, FX, commodities, etc.) to smart contracts and DeFi applications.

It sources data directly from first-party publishers like exchanges, market makers, financial institutions, rather than just pulling data from APIs or aggregators. That helps with accuracy, latency, and trust.

There is a dedicated chain (Pythnet), built on the Solana codebase, which aggregates & publishes price data, then distributes it across multiple blockchains via bridges / cross-chain messaging.
