According to Odaily, the U.S. Department of Justice has reportedly sold Bitcoin that was paid by Samourai developers as part of a plea agreement, despite Executive Order 14233 mandating that seized BTC be stored in the U.S. strategic Bitcoin reserve. This is not the first instance where the Southern District of New York has acted contrary to federal guidelines in the Samourai case.
