Vitalik Buterin recently reminded everyone that Ethereum’s goal was never pure efficiency.
According to him, Ethereum is designed around freedom, decentralization, and resilience, even if that means sacrificing some convenience along the way. In his words, “this is the game Ethereum is suited to win.”
This raises an interesting question for the market:
Should blockchains prioritize long-term resilience, or short-term speed and user convenience?
