Experts from The New York Times predicted that these trends could become key in content and life in 2026.
ᅠWe have collected some of the most interesting predictions:
• Zoomers will start using "dumb phones" that only have calls, SMS, a calculator, a clock, and a text editor. Such "bricks" can even become a status symbol, since very few people can afford not to be online 24/7.
• Neuroslop will be a thing of the past — people are tired of endless content created by AI. The trend will be handmade and all human creativity - textured and imperfect.
• Influencers will begin to leave the Internet and increasingly "touch the grass", engage in craft activities. Their place can be taken by online characters from movies and series that will have influence, popularity, merch and virality.
• People will stop being cold and alienated. Despite the neural networks, the trend will be sincere and bright human feelings, passionate declarations of love, conscious relationships and increasing distrust of AI.
