Key Developments in the Latest DFINITY Proposal: “Mission 70”
DFINITY has introduced Mission 70, a strategic initiative designed to strengthen the long-term sustainability of the Internet Computer (ICP) by lowering inflation and stimulating network demand.
Core proposals include:
Shortening dissolve delays for voting rewards to improve efficiency
Reducing rewards allocated to legacy Gen-1 nodes
Introducing new mechanisms to accelerate real network demand
If implemented, these changes are expected to reduce ICP token minting from 9.72% to 5.42% by January 2027, marking a significant step toward a more sustainable and resilient ecosystem.
