#walrus $WAL Walrus reconfiguration is designed for a world where data is large and change is constant. Unlike blockchains where state is small Walrus must move real storage during epoch changes.
The main challenge is handling writes and sliver transfers at the same time without stalling the system. If nodes leave or fail incoming nodes may need to recover data instead of receiving it directly.
Walrus solves this using RedStuff which keeps bandwidth costs stable even in faulty conditions. This allows epochs to complete safely while maintaining availability correctness and progress despite failures or heavy network churn.@Walrus 🦭/acc
