XPL Launch and Mainnet Success
Plasma’s native token XPL had a big start in crypto when the project launched its mainnet beta on 25 September 2025.
This meant that Plasma’s blockchain went live with real users and real tokens. From the first day, the network drew a lot of attention because it supports low cost stablecoin transfers and has strong liquidity backing.
On launch, more than $2 billion in stablecoin funds was locked into the system, making Plasma one of the top blockchains by stablecoin liquidity right away.
The token debut was also strong on exchanges. XPL entered trading with a market value over $2.4 billion and quickly became one of the more talked-about tokens in the market.
Users could trade XPL against major stablecoins and coins when exchanges like Binance listed on it.
Overall, this launch marked one of the biggest new token entries of the year and set the stage for Plasma to become an important name in supporting global stablecoin activity.
