The study was the first described case of the use of labour tools in cows. Veronica even chooses which side of the brush to use: hard - for the back, and smooth - for more sensitive areas.
Scientists note that this changes the ideas about the intelligence of farm animals and shows that cows are capable of learning and developing.
Researchers believe that there may be more such cases, they were just not paid attention to before.
