🇷🇺 Putin Talks About Greenland’s “Value”
Russian President Vladimir Putin made a surprising comment about Greenland.
He said Russia has no involvement or interest in what happens to Greenland — it’s not Russia’s issue.
Putin then compared Greenland to Alaska, which Russia sold to the United States in the 1800s for $7.2 million.
Adjusted for inflation, that deal would be worth about $158 million today.
Since Greenland is even larger than Alaska, Putin suggested that, using the same logic, Greenland’s “market value” could be around $200–250 million.
