Walrus is built around a simple idea.
Blockchains are great for trust but terrible at storing large data.
Cloud storage is efficient but centralized and opaque.
Walrus connects these two worlds.
They store large files off chain across many independent nodes using smart encoding so data survives even if some nodes fail.
The important part is that the proofs and control logic live on the Sui blockchain.
That means apps can verify that data exists, is available, and is being maintained correctly.
I am drawn to Walrus because it treats storage as part of the application logic instead of an external service.
They are not just saving files.
They are making data programmable, auditable, and usable inside decentralized systems.
