💰 US DOJ Seizes $400M in Crypto in Helix Case…
The US government has completed the seizure of cryptocurrency assets, real estate, and financial accounts worth over $400 million linked to the darknet crypto mixer Helix.
The service processed illegal transactions between 2014 and 2017, handling at least 354,468 BTC worth around $300 million at the time.
Helix operator Larry Harmon pleaded guilty to money laundering and, in November 2024, was sentenced to 3 years in prison along with full asset forfeiture.
