Economist Elliot Jordan-Dock from Pantheon Macroeconomics highlighted in a report that the UK's Recruitment and Employment Confederation has released an employment report indicating improved hiring intentions in January. According to Jin10, the report's long-term employee placement index reached an 18-month high during the month. Jordan-Dock stated, "With policy uncertainty easing and economic activity picking up post-budget, recruitment activities are recovering." The acceleration in economic growth this year may also boost labor demand, further tightening the job market and supporting wage growth. Jordan-Dock expressed optimism about the latest data improvements, suggesting that hiring intentions will strengthen further in the first quarter as economic growth accelerates.
