ပုဂံရာဇာဝင်
ပုဂံနိုင်ငံသည် မြန်မာ့သမိုင်းတွင် ပထမဆုံး အင်အားကြီး တစ်စုတစ်စည်းတည်း ဖြစ်ပေါ်လာသော နိုင်ငံတော်ဖြစ်ပြီး ခရစ်နှစ် ၉ရာစုအလယ်ပိုင်းမှ ၁၃ရာစုအစပိုင်းအထိ တည်ရှိခဲ့သည်။

၁၂၈၇ ခုနှစ်တွင် မော်ငိုလ်တပ်ဖွဲ့များ ဝင်ရောက်တိုက်ခိုက်မှုကြောင့် ပုဂံနိုင်ငံ အားနည်းလာပြီး နောက်ဆုံးတွင် ပြိုကွဲသွားခဲ့သည်။
Bagan Dynasty
The Bagan Kingdom was the first unified and powerful state in Myanmar’s history. It existed from the mid-9th century to the early 13th century.
Foundation
Although Pyu Saw Hti is traditionally regarded as the founder of Bagan, historically, the king who truly established Bagan as a strong kingdom was King Anawrahta.
King Anawrahta (1044–1077)
King Anawrahta unified the Bagan Kingdom and:
• Established Theravada Buddhism as the main religion
• Conquered Thaton and brought Buddhist scriptures and scholars to Bagan
• Built many pagodas and temples
Successive Kings
After King Anawrahta, the following kings continued to strengthen Bagan:
• King Saw Lu
• King Kyansittha
• King Alaungsithu
• King Narapatisithu
Especially during King Alaungsithu’s reign:
• Trade developed
• Agriculture improved
• Architecture advanced
Culture of the Bagan Period
During the Bagan era:
• More than 10,000 pagodas and temples were built
• The Myanmar language and literature began to develop
• Buddhism became firmly established
Decline of Bagan
In 1287, Mongol invasions weakened the Bagan Kingdom, and it eventually collapsed.
