We’ve had police get involved, we’ve had doctors get involved, we’ve had banks get involved and everyone says they can’t do anything about it unless she’s a danger to herself or others. Yes this is clearly and obviously fake, there’s even a Chinese seal at the bottom of this letter. We don’t know what to do about it anymore and she’s practically broke now. Even if this went viral and Elon Musk addressed it, she wouldn’t believe it. She would say that’s what he has to do in the public to keep her investment a secret. For some reason she just does not understand that the wealthiest man to ever exist in humanity would not need a 70 year old woman’s investment who’s living in the country side of England.
She is convinced she is investing in a secret Tesla fund that is not available to the public
She keeps sending this scammer money in order to "unlock" her investment to withdraw. Problem is this has happened over and over.
I am American, my wife is British. We live in California and the distance and time difference has made it very difficult for us to be effective in helping.
My wife is an only child, her parents live in the English Countryside with no other family around, and not many friends either to be honest.
My father in law is very normal and nice, but a complete push over and often gives into my my mother in laws demands (more money) because she literally threatens to blackmail him (says she will tell the police he is physically abusive, etc)

Be careful will online celebrities account. They don’t have time for you, if they do, they aren’t the real celebrity behind the mask, they are just another scammer to drain your wallet.
