1. What is TSLAUSDT?

TSLAUSDT is a perpetual futures contract on Binance.

It tracks Tesla stock price (TSLA) but is denominated in USDT (Tether, a stablecoin pegged to $1).

Perpetual means there’s no expiry date, unlike traditional futures contracts. You can hold it indefinitely.

Think of it as betting on Tesla’s price movements without actually owning Tesla shares.

2. How the futures work

a) Buying (going long)

If you think Tesla price will go up, you can open a long position.

Example: TSLA = $250. You open a long 1 TSLAUSDT contract.

If TSLA rises to $260, your profit = $260 - $250 = $10 per contract (simplified).

If TSLA falls to $240, your loss = $10 per contract.

b) Selling (going short)

If you think Tesla price will drop, you can open a short position.

Profit comes if the Tesla price falls. Loss occurs if it rises.

3. Leverage

Binance offers up to 5× leverage on TSLAUSDT.

Leverage lets you control a bigger position with less capital, but risk is magnified.

Example:

You have $100 USDT. With 5× leverage, you can open a position worth $500.

Tesla moves 2% → your gain/loss = 2% × 5 = 10% on your $100 → $10 profit or loss.

⚠️ Important: Leverage can amplify both gains and losses. If the price moves against you too much, your position may get liquidated (automatically closed).

4. Funding rate

Because these are perpetual contracts, Binance uses a funding rate mechanism to keep futures price close to real Tesla stock price.

Sometimes longs pay shorts or shorts pay longs every 8 hours.

It’s usually small but can accumulate over time if you hold a position for days/weeks.

5. Settlement

Unlike traditional futures, perpetual futures never expire, so there’s no settlement date.

Profit/loss is marked to market in USDT, so you can withdraw your gains anytime.

6. Margin

You need an initial margin to open a position (depends on leverage).

You must maintain a maintenance margin to avoid liquidation.

✅ Example Trade

TSLA = $250, you long 2 contracts with 2× leverage.

Your margin: $250 × 2 ÷ 2 = $250 USDT.

TSLA rises to $260 → profit = (260-250) × 2 = $20 USDT.

TSLA falls to $240 → loss = (250-240) × 2 = $20 USDT.#TSLA #TSLAUSDT #BinanceSquareFamily #ClawdBotSaysNoToken
