MultiversX has announced a collaboration with OpenAI and Stripe to support its Agent Commerce Protocol (ACP), providing infrastructure for AI-driven on-chain transactions. According to PANews, ACP is an open standard that enables AI agents to complete product discovery, purchase, and payment within a chat interface without the need for wallet operations or Gas fees. MultiversX has implemented ACP support through open-source adapters and introduced the Relayed v3 protocol, offering native Gasless transaction capabilities, allowing users to transact without holding EGLD.
In addition, MultiversX supports Google's Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP), covering the entire shopping process from product discovery to after-sales support. Combined with the upcoming Supernova upgrade, which achieves sub-second finality, MultiversX lays the foundation for automated work contracts between AI agents and decentralized value chains. This integration allows AI agents to execute transactions seamlessly, fostering the development of machine-to-machine economies and providing new financial infrastructure for both on-chain and off-chain ecosystems.
