I keep thinking of Fogo priority fees as a small tip you add when you really want your transaction to land quickly. The normal network fee covers the basic cost, but when blocks are busy, validators can sort transactions by who is paying more, and that extra amount goes straight to the block producer. On Fogo, the design closely follows Solana’s approach, so priority fees are optional and mostly show up when the chain is congested or you’re doing something time-sensitive like a trade, a liquidation, or a mint. Lately they’ve been getting more attention because fast-trading apps and bots are piling onto newer, low-latency chains, and even “cheap” networks can feel competitive at peak moments. If I’m not in a rush, I usually leave it at zero.
