Vitalik asserts that users are completely free to use Ethereum without needing to agree with any of his views, whether on political stances, application orientation, #DeFi , AI, or privacy. Ethereum was born as a decentralized protocol, so it must maintain its core properties: Permissionless and Censorship-resistant.
Clear Distinction Between Protocol and Community:
The Protocol Layer must maintain absolute neutrality.
The protocol's neutrality does not strip away human rights. Individuals and communities remain free to make value judgments, publicly criticize applications they deem unsuitable, and build the ecosystem according to their own principles.
Vitalik concludes that we must accept the reality that Ethereum will be used in countless different ways, serving completely opposing ideas and purposes on the same platform.
