On the directions of the Prime Minister, a high-level review meeting was held to assess implementation arrangements and administrative preparedness for the Ramzan Relief Package 2026. The meeting was chaired by Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Syed Imran Ahmad Shah, and attended by representatives from key institutions including the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), NADRA, BISP, and participating banks.
During the session, the minister directed the State Bank to begin crediting relief amounts immediately and ensure full banking operations on the first day of Ramzan so beneficiaries can receive assistance without delay. Pending beneficiary bank accounts were also ordered to be opened on a priority basis.
A real-time monitoring control room has been established to oversee disbursements. According to officials, nearly 200,000 calls have been received so far, with over 95,000 resolved through the IVR system and around 23,000 handled directly by call agents. The minister further directed that the control room remain operational 24/7 during the first ten days of Ramzan to ensure uninterrupted support.
The government reaffirmed that the Ramzan Relief Package 2026 is aimed at providing transparent and targeted financial assistance to vulnerable segments of society.
