The European Union Council has decided to extend the EU Red Sea escort mission, known as the EU Naval 'Aspides Operation,' until February 28, 2027. According to Jin10, the council announced on February 23 that nearly 15 million euros will be allocated to cover the common costs of the operation from March 1, 2026, to February 28, 2027. Additionally, a strategic assessment of the operation will be conducted for the 2026-2027 period.
