Walrus Protocol is working on a problem most people only notice when something breaks. Data has weight, and moving it safely at scale is harder than it looks. Walrus uses decentralized blob storage and erasure coding to spread files across many nodes, so data stays available even when parts of the network fail. Built on Sui, it benefits from fast execution and predictable performance. WAL is simply how the system coordinates storage, staking, and decisions. There are risks. Decentralized storage is complex, incentives must hold long term, and adoption takes patience. Still, this feels like infrastructure being built quietly, not a shortcut to attention.
