Dusk Dual Transaction Model is a Real Market Behaviour
Dusk is a single settlement layer which allows various behaviors of transactions to operate, and applications to select the extent to which information is public or shielded. This is not a chance occurrence; it is deliberate.
The majority of blockchains make markets take two extremes: it is either all public, or all private. The real world of finance does not do that. There are things that require openness and some that require discretion. The fact that Dusk supports both public Moonlight and shielded Phoenix transactions on the same layer of settlement is indicative of the way markets actually work. Visibility might be required in issuance events. Institutional trading may need a lot of secrecy. Dusk will not make the false choice where other privacy systems have been restricted, by allowing applications to select the right exposure per transaction. Such design does not ensure that it is adopted, but it eliminates a structure mismatch between blockchain mechanics and financial reality.
