Las Vegas small businesses are ditching traditional payment barriers and embracing Bitcoin as crypto enters everyday commerce. From juice bars to restaurant chains, the shift signals a fundamental change in how Americans transact.
At Cane Juice Bar and Cafe on Rainbow near Windmill, customers can pay for fresh-pressed sugar cane juice with cash, card, or Bitcoin. District manager Tyler Peterson implemented the digital payment option eight months ago and hasn't looked back.
"Bitcoin is getting very popular with mainstream people, not just the people that are actually into things like cryptocurrencies. It's just something to help us move forward," Peterson explained.
Bitcoin Map Drives New Customer Traffic
The juice bar experiences regular inquiries from customers specifically seeking Bitcoin-accepting businesses. Peterson confirmed the digital payment option generates measurable foot traffic through online Bitcoin maps that help users locate crypto-friendly merchants.
"I get calls all the time. People come in, they inquire and they ask me if we're accepting Bitcoin. So actually some customers we have generated off of accepting Bitcoin," Peterson noted.
