š„ The Stateās āGiftā to Ukrainians ā Digital Serfdom 2.0 š„
On August 27, the Cabinet approved a draft law amending the Tax Code, introducing automatic international income reporting for digital platforms.
š Bolt, Uber, Glovo, š Airbnb, Booking ā now theyāll report your income directly to the tax authorities.
They call it āharmonization with the EUā and āfighting the shadow economyā.
Reality? ā A new stage of total surveillance.
š Main points:
Small drivers/sellers/couriers (no employees, turnover ⤠6.7M UAH): 5% āpreferentialā tax.
Everyone else: 18% income tax ā because apparently, youāre ārich.ā
Up to 3 sales/year totaling ⤠ā¬2000 ā exempt.
Selling old stuff on OLX under 36,000 UAH/year ā exempt (for now).
š The spin vs. the truth:
To society: āWe increased trustā (haha).
To business: āFewer inspectionsā (believe it when you see it).
To the state: billions more to plug the budget holes.
And for ordinary Ukrainians?
Another quest: open a separate account, become your own tax agent, and surrender more of your side-hustle income ā just to survive.
ā ļø The bitter truth: while officials āforgetā to declare millions in crypto, the state squeezes couriers and drivers to the last penny.
š” Donāt be surprised if tomorrow they tax your likes on posts too.
š Follow me for raw, unfiltered truth ā without sugarcoating, but with enough spice to see through their āreforms.ā
