🚨 A Socket research team has discovered six malicious npm packages linked to the North Korean hacker group Lazarus.
🔶️These packages were designed to install backdoors to steal user credentials and cryptocurrency wallet data, particularly targeting Solana and Exodus wallets.
🔷️The attackers used *domain squatting* and *typosquatting* techniques to trick developers into installing these packages.
❌️Five of them were disguised as open-source projects from GitHub, thereby increasing the risk of widespread propagation. 👾
