What is a hashtag?

It is an awareness campaign aimed at explaining the basic differences between two types of cryptocurrency trading platforms: centralized exchanges (CEX) and decentralized exchanges (DEX).

🔹 Centralized Exchanges (CEX)

These are platforms managed by companies like Binance and Coinbase.

Advantages:

• User-friendly interface suitable for beginners.

• Fast transaction execution.

• Available technical support.

Disadvantages:

• Requires identity verification (KYC).

• The platform holds your private keys, meaning you do not have full control over your funds.

• Vulnerable to hacks or regulatory shutdowns.

🔹 Decentralized Exchanges (DEX)

These operate without a central intermediary, allowing you to trade directly from your own wallet using smart contracts.

Advantages:

• Full control over your funds (you hold the private keys).

• No need for identity verification, providing greater privacy.

• Resistant to censorship.

Disadvantages:

• Can be complex for beginners.

• Less liquidity compared to centralized platforms.

• Slower execution speed at times.
