A major upgrade is approaching with the solid Maxwell split. On June 30, the BSC block time will be reduced from 1.5 seconds to 0.75 seconds, resulting in faster finality, new infrastructure standards, and more accurate timing for chain users.

The solid #Maxwell split introduces a major upgrade to the BNB Smart Chain (BSC), where block time is reduced from 1.5 seconds to 0.75 seconds. This represents the next step in the BNB chain's mission to enhance network responsiveness, transaction speed, and validator performance.

Three major proposals - BEP-524, BEP-563, and BEP-564 - enhance the Maxwell update, each aimed at improving the core aspects of chain speed and reliability.

With Maxwell, the #BSC block interval will be reduced to 0.75 seconds, improving validator connectivity across the network and speeding up block synchronization between nodes.

As with most BNB chain upgrades, Binance may suspend withdrawals and deposits on the network on the mentioned date, so we urge users to plan accordingly.

Binance is conducting routine maintenance on the BNB chain

Earlier today, Binance announced a temporary suspension of withdrawals on the BNB Smart Chain for routine wallet maintenance. This step, although brief, was crucial for the stability and security of the network.

Binance today announced maintenance on the BNB Smart Chain wallet (#BEP20 ). To support wallet maintenance, deposits and withdrawals on the #BNB_Smart_Chain network (BEP20) were briefly suspended starting June 19 at 5:55 AM (UTC), and maintenance lasted for one hour.

Deposits and withdrawals were reopened after the network stabilized, with no further announcements.
