The NYSE Arca stock exchange has also expressed its interest in listing a gray scale cryptocurrency ETF that contains a diverse basket of spot cryptocurrencies, but it has not yet received approval.
The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has given the green light to the exchange-traded funds (ETFs) tracking the Bitcoin and Ether indices from Hashdex and Franklin Templeton, respectively.
In a notice dated December 19, the SEC approved Hashdex's Nasdaq Crypto Index US ETF, which will be listed on the Nasdaq stock market. At the same time, the regulator approved the Franklin Crypto Index ETF, which will be aimed at the Cboe BZX Stock Exchange.
Both indices will include #BTC and #ETH in the spot market. The Franklin Crypto Index ETF tracks the Institutional Digital Asset Index, an indicator designed to represent the performance of digital assets like Bitcoin and Ether. Meanwhile, Hashdex's Crypto Index ETF will track Bitcoin and Ether, which are included in the Nasdaq Crypto US Settlement Price Index.
