Today, February 8, 2026, the company AgiBot held a historic event — "AGIBOT Night 2026". It was a gala concert where the main and only performers were humanoid robots. The aim was to demonstrate the transition of robots from industrial tools to full-fledged participants in social and cultural life. By the way, it was an interesting show. For those interested, there is a video on YouTube.
At this event, the Chinese robotics startup AheafFrom presented the Elf. Another humanoid robot with 30 "muscles" in its face that allow it to wink, move its eyebrows, and lips almost identically to a human. The prototype is called Elf V1. It performed a performance titled "Undefined Relationships".
AheafFrom's systems recognize tone, facial expressions, and gestures, and then respond with voice, facial expressions, eye contact, and body language.
The company is also developing:
- model Origin M1: An autonomous robotic head (module) for research, equipped with cameras in the pupils and a real-time emotion recognition system.
- the Bionic Skin technology. The use of special bionic skin and micro-engines to create a maximum natural appearance that helps overcome the "uncanny valley" effect.
The company's goal is to create bionic humanoid robots that integrate self-learning artificial intelligence algorithms with bionic drives with a large number of degrees of freedom, which will allow AI in the future to express genuine emotions and realistic facial expressions.
