As a parent, how can you help college students determine their future development path?
There's no need to wait until the college entrance examination is over; you can certainly observe your child's personality and characteristics in daily life. If you haven't noticed these, as a parent, you are failing.
Treat your child like a friend. For example, if your child wants to pursue a career in gaming, take them to a professional place to let them try it out; most likely, they will be brutally challenged. If they still don't give up, don't stop them. Tell them it's fine, but they need to understand how this profession and industry make money and operate. How competitions are organized, how players earn income, how clubs operate, and where the revenue comes from. Guide them through the whole chain.
Then ask them, what can you excel at in this field? Which aspect do you want to work in? When they play games in the future, they will think about it. If they feel that being a player is unlikely, but they could be a planner, they will go back and think about how to design a character, why a level is difficult. What would happen if I were to design it?
Parents also need to understand the logic of business to better guide their children, rather than simply stopping them. You can't prevent this; if you block it now, they will keep thinking about it in the future.
