🇺🇸 Trump strikes Russia where it hurts: oil.

After canceling a meeting with Putin, President Trump has just imposed new sanctions on Rosneft and Lukoil. These are the two largest oil producers in Russia. This has effectively excluded them from U.S. markets.

This represents half of Russia's crude oil exports now under direct U.S. sanctions. The measure is intended to cut off financing for Putin's war machine and pressure Moscow towards peace talks.

🛢️ But here's the catch: this could shake up global oil flows:

China and India, which buy most of Russia's oil, could now face secondary sanctions if they continue importing from Rosneft/Lukoil.

Oil prices have already risen by 5% overnight following the news.

Russia's budget, which heavily relies on energy revenues, has just taken a big hit.

Trump called the measure "tremendous" and said it is "time to end this senseless war."

But critics warn it could increase energy costs globally and strain relations with India and China.

🔥 One thing is for sure! This is the toughest U.S. move against Russia since the invasion began.

Do you think this will really pressure Putin to negotiate, or will it just raise oil prices for everyone else?
