For more than a year, I have been paying attention to the field of on-chain stocks (Tokenized Stocks).
In all RWA (Real World Assets on-chain) sub-tracks, on-chain stocks are the closest to traditional investment logic and are the easiest to understand and accept.
Its logic is very simple:
Enable traditional stocks, ETFs, bonds, and other financial assets to achieve higher liquidity, transparency, and composability through blockchain tokenization.
This is not a炒概念, but a reconstruction of traditional financial infrastructure.
1. Track acceleration: From StableStock to Ondo
In the past two months, the tokenized stock track has clearly accelerated. Last month, StableStock collaborated with Native to issue tens of millions of tokenized stock assets on the BNB Chain.
This month, another heavyweight player has entered the scene—OndoFinance has landed on the BNB Chain.
Two, why is Ondo's action significant?
Ondo is an institutional-level RWA platform founded by a former Goldman Sachs team, aiming to bring assets like bonds, ETFs, and US stocks from traditional financial markets onto the chain in a compliant and transparent manner.
I pay attention to Ondo because its execution and data performance in the RWA field are outstanding. Since the launch of Ondo Global Markets in September:
* The total value locked (TVL) has surpassed 350 million USD;
* The total on-chain trading volume exceeds 669 million USD;
* The products cover multiple directions including US stocks, bonds, and short-term yield assets.
These numbers are enough to show: the real demand for on-chain assets is rapidly rising.
Three, why the BNB Chain?
I believe Ondo's decision to land on the BNB Chain at this time is a very smart move.
BNB Chain has 3 million daily active users, with a user structure leaning towards retail, and many new generation crypto users have entered through the Binance ecosystem, unfamiliar with the high gas costs and complex operations of the ETH mainnet.
In the past, when experiencing Ondo on the Ethereum mainnet, the gas fees for a single transaction were several dozen USD, with long confirmation times and limited TPS—this deterred many potential users because it was too expensive and not cost-effective.
But on the BNB Chain, Ondo's tokenized stocks can be traded directly on DEXs like PancakeSwap, with almost zero barriers, low latency, and low cost, which means it has truly achieved 'retail-level usability' for the first time.
For ordinary users like us, on-chain stocks have become accessible, and we can engage with them; for institutions and large investors, transactions at the hundred thousand or million dollar level can also be easily completed.
Four, the significance of the ecosystem: strong alliances
This integration is not just an expansion for Ondo, but also a key piece in BNB Chain's strategic layout in the RWA ecosystem.
With the addition of Ondo, the RWA ecological layer of the BNB Chain will be more complete:
Users can now operate in the familiar PancakeSwap environment.
Direct access to over 100 tokenized US stocks and ETFs.
And behind these assets, there is real custody and regulatory framework support.
The closed-loop upgrade from traffic to assets is very nice.
Five, a new phase for RWA
On-chain stocks are just the starting point of the RWA market explosion.
As various projects materialize, we will see more.
* Composable DeFi financial products
* Yield-bearing derivative assets 'tradeable goods'
* And a more comprehensive on-chain compliance system
From shouting 'asset on-chain' in 2018 to now being able to 'trade assets on-chain', we are finally seeing a more mature and pragmatic RWA era.
Ondo has landed on the BNB Chain, which is not just a technical migration but a reconstruction of financial experience.
On-chain finance is no longer a 'geek game'.
but rather a gradual entry into the mainstream world.
The story of RWA has just begun.
And on-chain stocks may be the first mature form of that revolution.
