2025 is coming to an end soon, and my overall evaluation of this year is that I thought too much and had too low of an understanding.

At the end of May this year, I set a goal to earn 30,000 U before the end of the year, but in the end, the progress towards that goal was less than one-third. Initially, I said I would work full-time and check in daily, but after a month, I started to slip into a state of fishing for three days and sunbathing for two. In this state, I also did a lot of useless work. One reason for this is laziness, and another is that I overthought things, believing this wouldn't work and that wouldn't work, and just doing the previous projects in a routine manner.

Although I was in this state, I still participated in many major projects, like ASTER, Boundless, and Lighter. But why didn’t I make money? I think it has a lot to do with understanding. Because I didn’t know enough, I was afraid to place heavy bets and never went all in, so I only participated in these major projects.

Among the above, the airdrop project that surprised me the most was Lighter, which was released in August. I did a little on it, but seeing that scoring was difficult, I planned to find methods to do it again, but then I procrastinated. Later on, too many people got involved, and with the market not doing well, I didn’t pay much attention, thinking that even if there was an airdrop, it wouldn’t yield much profit. But in the end, I couldn’t imagine that Lighter could fulfill its promise of 1 minute 20 tokens and issue hundreds of millions in airdrops in such a market.

So my thinking was too rigid, and my understanding was not enough. I only saw the surface and doubts of many opportunities and didn’t see the hidden glimmers of gold. The main task in 2026 is still to earn in Web3. Although I didn’t reach my goal this year, I still made money. Averaging out, it still beats working in a factory tightening screws and delivering takeout, of course, that’s not the only reason; I also want to wait for my own springboard in Web3.

Finally, I wish everyone a Happy New Year!
