When financial conditions allow, it's reasonable for people to enjoy themselves appropriately in their youth. Don't always think you can wait until retirement to enjoy life. By then, all the joy will be greatly diminished, or even become dull and meaningless. 'Picking flowers in the morning and recalling them in the evening' means that by the time you're 30, buying things you wanted at 18 or visiting places you dreamed of at 20 will no longer hold any significance. There aren't as many 'tomorrows' as we think—only uncertainty in life. Though we may wish to buy osmanthus flowers and carry wine together, we'll never relive the days of youth. People lose their lives to the single word 'wait': waiting for a busy period to end, waiting for next time, waiting for the future, waiting for favorable conditions. Life can't afford waiting—the only thing waiting brings is regret.
