Wyoming has launched FRNT, the first fiat-backed stablecoin issued by a U.S. state, fully backed one-to-one by U.S. dollars and short-duration Treasurys. The stablecoin aims to reduce government payment costs and support public services by channeling reserve interest to education funding. FRNT is multi-chain compatible and available on the Wyoming-based exchange Kraken, with plans for broader adoption across state agencies and public uses.
