Dusk comes from watching that failure up close.

Instead of asking how to hide more, it asks how confidentiality actually works in practice. In real finance, privacy is layered. Most information stays private. Some information is shared selectively. A small portion becomes visible only when oversight demands it.

Dusk builds around that pattern.

Data is not exposed by default, but it is never trapped. The system assumes audits will happen. It assumes rules will be enforced. It assumes someone will eventually ask hard questions. Confidentiality is designed to survive those moments, not collapse under them.

That changes what a confidential blockchain can be.
