I’ve been following Walrus for a while and I’m impressed by how thoughtful the design is. At its core, they’re tackling a problem we all face: storing large amounts of data securely and privately. Traditional systems either cost too much or put your files in the hands of a few companies. Walrus is different. They’re built on the Sui blockchain and use a system where files are split into pieces and spread across a network. Even if some pieces go missing, your file can be reconstructed perfectly.
The network uses the WAL token to keep everything running. Users pay in WAL to store data, and people who run storage nodes stake WAL and earn rewards. WAL holders also participate in governance, helping decide the future of the network.
I’m seeing how this creates a fair and reliable ecosystem. Developers can build apps without worrying about downtime, businesses can protect private data, and users gain real ownership of their information. Walrus isn’t just a storage solution. They’re creating a decentralized system that empowers people and protects privacy in a simple and elegant way.
