Axie Infinity currency, symbol AXS – is a digital currency and a trading game based on blockchain owned and partially operated by its players, inspired by popular games such as Pokémon and Tamagotchi. It allows players to collect, breed, raise, battle, and trade creatures based on the currency known as Axies.
Each Axie is a non-fungible token (NFT) with different traits and strengths, where the winning team earns more experience points (exp) used to level up Axie statistics.
The Axie Infinity ecosystem also features a unique currency known as AXS. It is used to participate in key governance votes and will give its holders a say in how funds are spent in the Axie community treasury.
