"The Age of Deceivers"

On the 23rd, a well-known dev on the domestic BSC chain, TOM, imitated the popular article on X titled "The Age of Arts Students" and wrote a piece called "The Age of Binance," promising at the end that if there were no new replies within 24 hours after the last post, he would gift 1 BNB as a reward.

I happened to see the article posted by TOM, and there were comments below asking whether TOM was genuinely giving away or not. TOM himself responded that he could still afford to give 1 BNB.

So I thought that 1 BTC was hard to obtain; objectively speaking, with TOM's assurance, the competition pressure for 1 BNB was relatively small, so it should be easier to get. Moreover, TOM had previously made waves on BSC, so after persisting for 4 days in replies, I successfully made it into the finals and got the chicken dinner.

Then I contacted the organizer TOM, trying to claim the reward. TOM posted on Twitter but ignored my private messages, as if after riding the coattails of an article and releasing a coin, the coin has now long zeroed out, and previous promises vanished like a fart.

What

"The rewards are never for the fastest,

but for those who understand and are willing to wait."

What

"It's not a lottery. It's not a probability.

It's just a signal left for those who are a bit slower."

Damn it, the slower ones have been cleaned out by you bunch of dog-day devs. This is not "The Age of Arts Students," and it is certainly not "The Age of Binance,"

This is "The Age of Deceivers,"

Carefully packaged narratives, beautiful promises before the event, and loud noise

The same old tricks

Afterwards, there are only people like me cursing on Twitter.

Even after this article is published, TOM continues to post offerings and cut people off, and clueless retail investors still rush in, taking everything in.

But fewer and fewer people are around, and the visible liquidity is diminishing.

The so-called consensus, trust, web3, and the passionate desire to change the world from newcomers have been completely harvested by scythe.

In the Age of Deceivers, after the deceivers have devoured everything, they just turn and leave,

I am just very unhappy; why should they say pretty words, earn money, and yet I swallow the bitter fruit.

TOM is just a microcosm of this blockchain era of slaughter; there is never the best deceiver, only the deceivers of the era.
