This requires a blockchain that can truly support traditional financial assets, which needs to have privacy protection as well as built-in financial regulatory compliance.
To this end, Dusk Network has proposed the concept of 'regulated decentralized finance.' They believe that without compliance and carefully crafted regulations, cryptocurrency will never be able to step out of the crypto sandbox. Privacy is primarily a right, but without privacy, institutions and traditional finance will never be able to use blockchain in a meaningful way.
