THE CONFIRMATION THAT THE UNIVERSE IS NOT REAL LOCALLY IS ONE OF THE MOST FASCINATING DISCOVERIES IN QUANTUM PHYSICS

When you really consider the theoretical implications of quantum physics, the reality in which we ordinarily live is shaken and loses its ground. However, almost no one usually takes them into account and our "reality" remains that of classical mechanics from two centuries ago: a real, determined universe that obeys certain rules like a Swiss watch. But this is not the case, and the gap in which we live allows things to continue moving without people questioning their existence much, trusting in the solidity of the world in which they live.

In the first instance, quantum mechanics theorizes - and this has recently been confirmed - that the universe is not real, as we understand this word from the philosophical notion of substance. That is, something that exists independently, that does not require anything else to be what it is. For example, an apple should be red, when no one is looking at it. But, not the apple and its qualities depend on an act of observation (in this quantum physics is very similar to Buddhism). "Local" in physics means that objects are influenced only by their environment and that no influence can travel beyond the speed of light. But physics suggests that objects are not influenced solely by their environment, and that they have no definitive properties before they are measured. This is why we talk about the notion that we live in a universe that is not locally real. The demonstration of this has earned a number of physicists the Nobel Prize.
