AI agents and data marketplaces depend on reliable, on-chain data—and @WalrusProtocol is built to provide it. Walrus offers verifiable, provable storage that’s chain-agnostic, with integrations across Sui, Ethereum, Solana, and more.
Storage is paid for in $WAL, nodes are rewarded for their service, and all coordination happens through smart contracts. By combining trusted data infrastructure with Web3, Walrus is paving the way for the next generation of AI-powered applications. Excited to watch the ecosystem expand. 🚀

$BTC Pushes Higher as Macro Signals and ETF Demand Align
Bitcoin is reminding the market why it still sits at the center of global liquidity narratives.
Bitcoin briefly pushed past $94,100 on January 13 before stabilizing near $94,000, and this move wasn’t random. Softer-than-feared U.S. CPI data at 2.7% combined with a sharp rebound in spot ETF inflows gave bulls exactly the confirmation they were waiting for.
The ETF side is especially telling. After a period of cooling demand, flows flipped decisively positive. BlackRock’s IBIT led with nearly $112M in inflows, while Grayscale’s GBTC followed with roughly $64M. Cumulative ETF inflows now sit above $56B, pushing Bitcoin’s market cap past $1.87T and lifting the total crypto market to around $3.28T.
What makes this setup more interesting is the macro tension underneath. Inflation at 2.7% is still above the Fed’s 2% target, which normally weakens the case for aggressive rate cuts. Yet political pressure is rising. The Trump administration has intensified calls for looser monetary policy, and the recent DOJ move targeting the Federal Reserve has added another layer of uncertainty to the rates outlook.
Markets don’t like uncertainty — but Bitcoin often thrives in it.
With ETF demand back, macro headlines heating up, and BTC holding near recent highs, traders are now watching one thing: whether this strength can carry momentum toward the $100,000 zone in the weeks ahead. If flows stay positive, that target stops looking like a headline and starts looking like a trajectory.
Binance just dropped its State of the Blockchain 2025 report, and it’s a good reality check on how big crypto has actually gotten.
In 2025 alone, $34T was traded. Spot volume crossed $7.1T, daily activity grew 18%, and total volume is now $145T all time. That’s infrastructure-level scale.
When it comes to Web3 discovery, things kept moving fast. Alpha 2.0 crossed $1T in volume, brought in 17M users, paid out $782M in rewards, and still managed to block 270K attempts to game campaigns.
Trust matters at this scale. Exposure to major illicit activity is down 96% since 2023, $6.69B in potential scam losses were prevented in 2025, and Proof of Reserves verified $162.8B across 45 assets.
Beyond trading, usage keeps expanding. Fiat and P2P volumes grew 38% YoY, Binance Pay now works with 20M+ merchants, most consumer payments settled in stablecoins, Earn distributed $1.2B, and institutional activity kept scaling, with institutional volume up 21% and OTC fiat up 210%.

The design behind the $WAL token places emphasis on protocol utility rather than short-term narratives. Within @WalrusProtocol , the token is primarily used to support core network functions such as paying for storage services and incentivizing node operators who provide capacity and reliability.
As storage demand grows, node operators are rewarded for contributing resources, which helps strengthen network performance and availability. In turn, improved infrastructure supports more applications and datasets being built on top of the protocol. This creates a practical usage loop where network activity and service quality reinforce each other through clearly defined incentives.
Rather than existing in isolation, $WAL is closely tied to actual storage usage within the broader Sui Network ecosystem. As developers build data-heavy applications—ranging from NFTs to AI-related workloads—the role of a functional storage token becomes increasingly important for sustainable infrastructure.
This utility-driven approach highlights how tokens can be designed to align network participation with real services. While outcomes always depend on adoption and execution, Walrus presents a model where token usage is directly connected to protocol operations and long-term ecosystem growth, rather than abstract mechanisms alone.
