أولا وقبل الغوض في المقالة نوضح بأن مصطلح “شيت كوين” (Shitcoin) هو تعبير يستخدم في عالم العملات المشفرة لوصف العملات الرقمية التي يُنظر إليها على أنها عديمة القيمة أو ضعيفة من حيث الأساسيات أو غير مجدية على المدى الطويل،

مؤخرا أثار إعلان الرئيس الأمريكي “دونالد ترامب” عن إنشاء “احتياطي العملات المشفرة الأمريكي” جدلا واسع داخل الصناعة، حيث لم يكن الجميع راضين عن العملات الرقمية التي أُعلن عن تضمينها.

فعلى الرغم من أن البيتكوين والايثيريوم كانا ضمن القائمة، إلا أن إدراج XRP وSOL وADA أثار موجة من الانتقادات من قبل مسؤولي الصناعة والمحللين.

عبر “برايان أرمسترونغ” الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة “كوين بيس”، عن اهتمامه بالفكرة لكنه تساءل عن معايير الاختيار، مشيرا إلى أن البيتكوين قد يكون الخيار الأفضل باعتباره الأبسط والأوضح كخليفة للذهب.
من جانبه، أيد “راؤول بال”، مؤسس “Real Vision”، فكرة أن يتم اختيار العملات وفقا لمؤشر السوق، بحيث يظل القرار محايد ويترك للسوق تحديد الأفضل.

أما “سامسون مو”، أحد كبار داعمي البيتكوين، فقد اعتبر إدراج العملات البديلة يوما حزين على أمريكا، معتبرا أن شراء هذه العملات الرقمية
