Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin recently praised ongoing efforts to enhance Layer 1 (L1) scalability, commending developers working on EIP-4444, statelessness, and client efficiency upgrades. These improvements aim to increase gas limits while preserving decentralization.
🔥 The upcoming Pectra upgrade, set for March, will double Layer 2 (L2) capacity by increasing the blob target from 3 to 6. Buterin also proposed allowing token holders to vote on the blob target, enabling flexible adjustments without hard forks.
