#MyStrategyEvolution MyStrategyEvolution How I stopped losing and started earning** đđĄ
Once I thought trading was just "buy cheaper, sell higher". But the market quickly explained to me that without a system, there's nothing to do here. Here's how my strategy evolved â from a novice to a stable trader.
## **đ„ Stage 1. Wild West (0â6 months)**
â **Mistakes:**
- Trading on emotions (FOMO, revenge trading)
- No risk management (stops? what stops?)
- Searching for a "magic indicator"
đĄ **Conclusion:** Lost the first deposit in 2 weeks. Realized â need a **plan**.
## **đ Stage 2. Technical analysis (6â12 months)**
â **What changed:**
- Started studying **support/resistance levels**
- Added **moving averages (MA50, MA200)**
- Started keeping a **trader's diary**
â **Problems:**
- Too many indicators â analysis paralysis
- Still trading against the trend
đĄ **Conclusion:** Indicators are tools, not a sacred Grail.
## **đŻ Stage 3. Price action + Risk Management (1â2 years)**
â **Breakthrough:**
- Switched to **Price Action** (patterns, candlestick analysis)
- Strict **risk management (1â2% per trade)**
- Started trading **only with the trend**
đ **Working strategy:**
- **Timeframe:** D1 + H4 for trend determination
- **Entry:** Pullbacks to key levels + volume confirmation
- **Stop-loss:** Behind the nearest swing low/high
- **Take-profit:** 1:2 or 1:3 RR + trailing stop
đĄ **Result:** First **stable** months in profit.
## **đ Stage 4. Algorithmic trading and automation (2+ years)**
â **Now:**
- Part of the strategy moved to **trading bots** (Python + TradingView Alerts)
- Using **backtesting** to validate ideas
- Focused on **2â3 proven setups**
đĄ **Main lesson:** The simpler the system â the more stable it is.
### **đ Conclusion: My key rules now**
1. **Trend â my friend** (I only trade in its direction).
2. **Risk â no more than 1%** per trade.
3. **Better to skip a trade** than to enter a questionable one.
